You said that you are from the Midwest, but your profile says that you send your application to Texas. How is that possible, All midwest I-485 applications must have gone to Nebraska Service Center.

When I read the memo, I was more worried about my name check and whether she would check the status of it than about this, as anyhow my dates are not current. After showing the memo, she did offer to check the status.
With all the experience our guys have with USCIS officers and staff, it's hard to belive an IO would be that helpful? But, she's and even the staff at this office is not as bad as others have experienced.
I was even telling my wife about the behaviour and how staff at other offices behave.

The collection so far shows 33.33% of the $60K target as of December 11th.
Friends I pledge a $500 donation as soon as the figures reaches 500 less than halfway ... i.e $29,500 and another again once the figure reaches 500 less of $60,000 i.e $59,500. This is a guess and I have not studied the law book or statutes on immigration law. Per country limit could be an administrative procedure and not as such a mandate by congress. The intent, nuance or spirit of the congress may not match this per country logic being implemented currently. There is just so much mismatch between equality, justness, fairness and nondiscrimination versus imposing per country quota and retrogression. It never made any sense to me. However, every quarter unused visa gets distributed irrespective of country limit. This nullifies the negative effect of per country limit considerably.
Everybody (that includes H1bs) in this country (according to Murthyji and other experts) is entitled to peaceful assembly, seeking justice and participating in improving current system!!
It is the beauty of the system here that sooner or later, people appreciate others point of view and there are enough checks and balances. Judiciary is one such important institution.

In my humble opinion, we should quit paying money to lobbyist or using them. We can represent out case to the powers or authorities concerned much better than what the lobbyists are doing.

I totally agree with you my friend.
I came across this website last year in November. I got active in December, and contributed, and tried to get active in my state chapter.
When I come across posts that want to remove country caps, or some other measure that is going to be harmful to me, I have to stop and ask myself if I am shooting myself in the foot by supporting IV.
Its not about whats fair. Nor about what common sense is. Its about self-interest.
If we are increasing the size of the pie, then it benefits me (ROW) to be here. If we are to fight each other over crumbs, then it doesn't.

No doubt this is a great idea and also as newbie2020 suggests no point of wasting time and loosing the current tempo and massive support of IV members on this regard.
Would like to request all, is it possible to change the bridge schedule a bit to 9.00 or 9.30 PM EST so that it would be easier to participate for people who are in Pacific Time Zone? If most people have difficulty in doing that, lets move forward with the current schedule.

I am just chipping in with a suggestion on how to improve members' involvement level. It's unfortunate you have interpreted this as some kind of personal attack, which it is anything but
Yes everything is personal when you are so close to the effort. The answer is still the same for anyone that did not participate and find out for themselves what it takes to co-ordinate an event like this.
