I'd say fuck the majority. You think we are going to believe something as stupid? If you believe so much in humanity, why don't you distribute all the dollars you earned in the US among the poor in India.

Here is the problem
-- Grass root & state level efforts work only when there are a lot of grass root workers. For example independence struggle in india worked due to grass root efforts. But please try to understand that things are different here --- by definition, we are immigrants, our numbers are limited in this country.
Okay. Its obvious that we need more participation from members for higher rate of success for IV campaigns.
Simply put, groups working in isolated corners of the country are having no effect on the politicians, because each area has only a few people and the politicians are not seeing the combined effect.
"Grass root efforts" may sound very trendy, but are actually leading us no where............yes we need it......but at the same time IV has to have a strong leadership who can show their strenght by doing phone / lettere campaigns.
Actually I disagree with you on two fronts. Even with low member participation, whatever success IV had is to a large measure due to the member participation. Second point is your post seem to suggest, I might have misread your statement, that just the IV leadership alone can make the phone/letter campaign a success. How? I am not privy to IV core information but I would doubt that just the IV core calling and writing letters would persuade the folks in DC to change their position.
My take is that the IV core can help come up with focused action items, and its by increasing grass roots effort that we can achieve the IV goals. Another member from CA has joined this challange. The member has contacted me and I have just now spoken to the member. The member wants to stay as an annonymous donor. So far he has contributed $1500 over the past few months. This member has pledged to pitch in with some more money when the total contributions from other members reach the 30,000 & 60,000 dollar mark. Specifically, he will contribute $250 more when we get close to $30,000, and another $250 for the $60,000.
Apart from my earlier contribution, I would like to pledge another $20 if we reach $30,000 and $20 if we reach $60,000. I am sorry guys i am on a tight budget but still want to do the best I can. And I hope you guys will agree every penny counts for the tough journey we have in front of us next year.

This is ridiculous. Just trying to blame a good Sherrif.
I am from AZ and Sherrif Joe is the best and the whole country should be proud of him.
He is doing the job which is supposed to be done by Federal govt and ICE, trying to take care of a border state county.
Well you always have critics when you are doing a good job or he wont keep getting elected again and again.
getting re-elected doesn't mean he is right or he is doing a good job..... bush was also re-elected in 2004..... does it mean he was doing the right thing...... ask majority of americans they will spit on u'r face.... the same guys who were head over heals in love with bush back in 2004..... it just means that the majority of people who voted were stupid..... democracy has a curse..... that it has to live by the majority opinion which is not always right or good..... and using this curse as a weapon..... some men have made fool out of the majority.... in counties, cities, states and countries..... across the world..... so don't throw this bullshit of getting re-elected to legitimize an in-humane behavior.....

USCIS has done what britisher's did "DIVIDE AND RULE".
They have divided the whole GC process into various categories already.
First it is Employment/Family/lottery.
Then it is eb1/2/3 and so on
Then it is country wise quota.
I mostly see people from categories eb 2 and 3 fight over this issue.
Few years back it was just eb3.
Please do not start a new category "SUBSTITUTED LABOR" .................no one wants anyone ahead of him and same applies to me as well.

Thanks for the replies. I guess, I do not have time to get all that done before I file the I485. Damn, should have taken care of it earlier. I guess I will have to fill the forms just as I have done for the labor and then hope that I am not stuck. Will follow up with my lawyer to get some legal advice too. If I learn anything new, I will sure post.

4. Had unpaid driving fines. (Bet she didnt have driving insurance either).
She had her delivery in a hospital which automatically assures adequate care for the child (paid for by the good citizens of Maricopa county, i should add).
As long as the pregnancy is uncomplicated, a woman is perfectly capable of delivering with a leg shackled. In no way does that put her at risk of complications.
